Black Rock City
Burning Man gear for a week on the playa.
Burner Supply is the Burning Man side of Dustproof Supply. The list is what we still pack: goggles that seal, water by the gallon, shade that stays put, and a bike you can see after dark.
The Amazon price is the price you pay. How the links work. Same family as Dustproof Supply and Raverr. Independent of the event.
The week
What are you packing for?
Days over 100°F, nights in the 40s, dust fine as flour, and a bicycle after dark. There isn't a store you should count on, and everything leaves with you.

Kits
Start with a list.
A kit is the gear for one job. Each piece is its own listing. We don't ship it as one box.
The list is the failures we would not repeat.
Shade has taken off. Water has run out. Nights have been colder than the afternoon looked. Bikes have walked away. Dust got into everything that wasn't sealed.
So the list is what we'd hand a friend before their first year, plus a note on where that thing fails. If it failed once and we wouldn't pack it again, it isn't on here.
How we chooseFree checklist
Take the packing list with you.
Dust, water, shade, the bike, a cold night, and a clean exit. The list is already free on this site. Leave an email if you want a copy sent later, and open it now either way.

Best shade structure for Burning Man
The cloth is the last layer. A tarp bakes the camp, and a frame that isn't lagged will leave.

How much water to bring to Burning Man
The Survival Guide's 1.5 gallons, then the jugs, the bottle you carry, and the washing that must not steal from drinking.

Burning Man dust mask and goggles
Mesh looks breathable in the store. It fills with dust. A scarf is for sun. A whiteout wants a respirator.
